Read the demonstration steps
- Look and guess. Cover David’s name. Show the picture and invite children to share the clues they notice.
- Connect. Reveal David’s name and give children Connection cards to explore, such as Lion, Stone, and Staff.
- Explain. Ask, “Why does your card connect to David?” One example: David used a stone to defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:40, 49). These cards offer other Bible-based connections too.
- Open the Bible. Read 1 Samuel 17 together and ask, “How did David show trust in God?”
